LCA is a great course to do to get a better sense of the world of work. In LCA you get to do a lot of work experience. They are four sets of two week breaks. If you want you can get your own work experience or you can get the school to get it for you. In my first work experience I went to work in Hino Harris on the Naas Road as a truck mechanic. I had a great time. The other mechanics were sound, they really looked after me and they made sure I had a lift home every day. They thought me a lot of new things like, how to change a gear box, how to change a clutch and how to service a lorry. They also took me out on the road to pick up broken down lorries.

For my second work experience I went to Joe Duffy Motors as a car mechanic. For the first week I worked in the garage. They thought me alot of new things about cars like, how to service a car and how to fix various different parts of cars. They also took me out on test drives. For the second week I was sent around the back of the garage to the car cleaning centre. I thought that was a good laugh. I was thought how they clean the cars when they are brought in for a service or when a car has been sold. For most of the day I was driving cars around to be cleaned and drove them back around when they were finished. In Joe Duffys they looked after me and showed me alot of thing i didn't know.

For the third work experience i went to Verge Managment, in the Henry A. Crosby Business Centre, Ossary Road. It was the best work experience out of the three of them. The owner of Verge is the manager of Dublin Band Aslan. I met with the band on various occasions and also worked with them a gigs and when they were rehearsing. I learnt alot of new things about the music business. I looked forward to going in each day because i didnt know what they were going to have me doing. I also typed up some information that was included in the programme fot the gig at the Point.

For my next work experience i want to work in Apple Studios, because i am very interested in music and i want to learn how to use some sound equiptment, like a P.A and a sound desk.
