First Year Science Projects
The Human Body Brian Mohan, Ross Dowler, Kevin Hassett, Paul Barrett We did a project on the humand body. We used books, computers and other sources. Our project shows how the heart and lungs work. It also shows about skeletons and muscles and where other things in your body are. We used Encarta 98 and an encyclopedia to get our facts and pictures. Brian and Ross did lots of technical work on the computer and Kevin drew pictures and Paul did a lot of writing.
	Motor Bikes Alan Mooney, Greg Allen, Stephen Harkness, Robert Smith Our project is to show people how a motorbike and engines work. In our project we show custimised bikes from the USA. We got our information from the Intenet and books
Rolls-Royce Eamon Sherry, Martin Duffy, Luke Gallagher Our Project: In 1906 Charles Rolls the owner of a car dealership with Frederick Henry Rolls who owns a 2-cylinder Roll-Royce Our project is based on a Rolls Royce, on what it is, complete with how it works and who makes some types of cars.
	Motorbikes Damien Farrell, Alan McAuley, Colin Kelly and Kieron Holohan Our project was based on motorbike engines and how they work. We put in a few diagrams to explain all about motorbikes. We got our information from Encarta 95 and 97.
Automobiles Brian Sheil, Brian Meehan Our project is about automobiles and how they work. It tells how the engine works and all the different types of cars. It includes the combustion engine. It also tells us about electric cars and solar powered cars run by the sun.
	Volcanoes Eoin O'Sullivan, Mark O'Sullivan, Peter, James Fagan, Keith Fallon Our project is about how volcanoes erupt, what rocks they make, what lava(magma) it makes and much, much more. The whole team got their information separately from school books, encyclopaedias, libraries, Encarta and the Internet
